NOTE: It is much easier to resolve an issue in a phone call than with email. When using email the steady delay in the conversation usually limites the ability of the tech to make a quick and accurate diagnosis. While on the phone fast troubleshooting can usually isolate the problems much easier and it gives us a chance to discuss the events that led up to the issue. This is extremely important when trying to determine why a gun no longer works when nothing was done to it

So....be very honest with the technician. He will not make fun of you for breaking your gun. If you took it apart let him know. If you threw it...let him know. This holds true to guns sent in for service. It will make the repair less expensive and usually the items will leave the shop sooner.

How to correctly set your LPR pressure:

You will need to following items:
1. Angel LPR gauge
2. LPR piston removal tool (Gold thing with a screw in the end)
3. 4mm Allen Wrench
4. Adjustable AIR system
5. Shims
6. Grease or Oil
7. Safety Glasses (yes...I use them)

a. Make sure there is no paint in your gun.
b. Remove the Air from your gun. Turn your gun on and shoot the remaining air from the gun.
c. Remove the endplug from the right side of the gun (LEFT side for the speed). This is the opposite side the ball detent is on.
d. install the LPR gauge.
e. turn minireg velocity adjusting screw until it is flush with the body. If you are using a gas-thru you can skip this step. We are trying to make sure the air from your tank is going directly into the gun without being affected by your in-line regulator.
f. using your adjustable tank send 500 PSI directly into the minireg (350 for the SPEED) and see where your pressure is at. We are trying to get to 85-90 psi on an LCD, 100 psi on an IR3 and 82 on a SPEED.

If the pressure is to high or to low you will need to adjust it using the shims. These are installed by removing the LPR piston (after de-gassing the gun) and adding or removing shims behind the washer springs. Adding springs increases the LPR pressure.

If you have to add an unusual amount of shims (over 10) to get your pressure up then it is a good idea to replace your LPR. It is also a good idea to clean and regrease the piston orings since everything is already taken apart.

TIP: When checking your LPR pressure make sure that the gauge returns FAST and stops. If it creeps you might need to replace the orings in the LPR or replace the entire LPR assembly.

1. You can use High pressure pre-set tanks (800psi)on your angel. Do not use the low pressure preset tanks (450psi) unless you are using them on a speed or A4

2. Send at least 600psi (450 to 500 with a SPEED)into your angels minireg if you are using an adjustable tank. If you are using a gas-thru setup start at 300 psi and turn the output pressure up as needed to increase your velocity.

3. You can use the A.I.R., Maxflow, 2003 conquest or Armageddon for a single reg'ed system.

4. How can I turn my minireg into a gas-thru?
Unscrew the velocity adjuster until it is flush with the body of the minireg. You can also remove the ball bearing and spring stack to make it a true gas-thru. Both methods seem to work fine.

5. Oil your gun after every 8000 shots. 2 drops in the air-line going into the gun and 2 drops in the exhaust valve area under the breech.

6. My gun only clicks when I pull the trigger.
Your snapring is set to tight or something is blocking your bolt.

7. I only see the guns serial number or all 0's when I turn it on.
Your trigger is to close to the switch.

8. How do I charge my gun?
An LCD/IR3 must be in the ON position and and LED must be OFF before plugging the charger into the gun.

9. I am breaking paint.
Check your ball detent. There should be a small white ball in the metal housing. Make sure it is sticking out far enough. Rate of fire to fast for the hopper. Hopper is putting to much pressure on the balls in the breech and a second ball is trying to feed.(HALO issue)

10. It is a good idea to replace the snap o-ring during repeated adjustments. Once the o-ring has become stressed it will not perform correctly.

Make sure your gun is in tune before you start trouble shooting. This will eliminate the obvious issues like an incorrect snapring setting or bad LPR. We will assume that you have already tested your air system on another gun to eliminate it from the troubshooting chain and you are using good paint.

*Make sure your bolt fits the breech correctly. It should move freely and you should not see excessive breech or bolt wear.

*Take your bolt out and look for excessive grooves at the point the ball detent makes contact with the bolt. If you see this remove the ball detent and re-install finger tight. If the bolt is still coming on contact with the bolt add another o-ring. This is the same one used as the breech seal.

*Remove the RAM and check to see if it drags or feels rough as you slide the hammer back and fourth.

*Make sure that the hammer is loctited onto the RAM shaft. You should not be able to turn the hammer freely.

*Check the bolt pin slot on the hammer for excessive wear in the groove. This could be a sign that the bolt pin is a bit long or has been manufactured incorrectly. A common problem with aftermarket bolts.

*Remove exhaust valve and check the stem for excessive wear marks. If some are found, remove the entire valve guide and insert the stem to check for any binding or rough spots. If this is found simply replace the parts with those that have been test-fit prior to install.

*Remove and disassemble minireg. Check for dirt and debris in the air path. Make sure that the tiny seal on the adjuster piston does not have any nicks or marks where it comes in contact with the large piston. Clean, regrease and reassemble.

After Troubleshooting if the problem persists contact a professional.
