Mini reg

Hello, I have a small problem...

I currently own a HP 68/4000 Crossfire Nitro tank. Acourding to my 2005 angel speed, I need a LP tank to run the gun. I was told that I can run a HP tank on a 05 speed if I mod my mini reg? I read the service/tip threads and it does talk about this issue but not in great detail...Can anyone shed any light?

from what ive seen the hp is fine on the o5 speed as long as u have it under 300fps. try to use the settings of +-2 on ur hp tank and u should have no problem.

For Angels even modding will not make it work correctly. it is highly recommended you switch to a LP tank as recommended.

Im kinda low on funds...well not really...I need to sell my tank befor I can get a new one but to my surprise no one wants to buy it...I want to use my gun now besides waiting a few weeks to get a new tank. I did spend 1k on the gun so I dont want to harm the gun in any way...

over at the actual angel forums they said the exact thing that i said. The reason they wanted to use a lp tank is bc of the indoor thing.

There is a way to mod you're reg so it accepts high pressure. It is recamended that you get a LP tank. THe good thing about the mod is it is reversable. From what I heard, 05 speeds come with a better reg that has a higher tolerence for HP output. But if you have trouble keeping you're fps below 300..then you just flip the spring stack inside the regulator. I had to do this to my 03 speed so I could use my HP crossfire tank.

he's no expert but morgan wouldn't even use his angel until he got a lp tank.....somehow i don't think it's an urban myth

It's better to use an LP tank on the newer angels because thats what they were designed for, and thats what also the regswere designed for, the regs are bad at converting HP into that low of an operating pressure. So more pressure is being input into the gun than wanted, thusly wearing out parts and having a lot of inconsistancy's. It's ok to use an HP tank for a while, but if the gun is new then it wont break it well.
