This quote alone should be enough to justify it: "Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised." George W. Bush March 17, 2003 .....so on March 17th, three days before the invasion, Bush says he had proof that left "no doubt". Ok....where is it? All proof presented must be from March 17th or prior or Bush is a liar.....who lied to go to war. What I don't understand is people who ignore all the solid proof Bush did lie, but continue to support Bush's assertions...in the absence of any proof from him to support them. Eh? ....so Iraq was no threat. Bush went ahead with an illegal invasion and as a direct result at least 214 Americans are dfead plus thousands of Iraqis. The wounded, disabled and disfigured would be many times that number on both sides. Bush...who took the Presidency without honor...has gone downhill since then to the extent of lying so he can go to war. No wonder he opposes the International Criminal Court. He should be standing trial before it if no corrupted American court has the integrity to see justice done. -- Steve -- "Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country." - Hermann Goering, Nazi Reichsmarshall |

Thank you! Clinton screwed up some thing royally. Rwanda was one. But how does this get Bush off the hook? Bush's ass needs to stay in office so we can vote his ass out in a landslide. Send a message to the jackasses or in this case the jackasses will send the message. > People die every day and governments do stupid shit -- but when it costs > YOU and ME that kind of cash it's time to put a stop to it. This is the thinking of the oil men we have in the White House. Cheney should resign and probably will. I don't think his ticker can hold up to questioning by congressional committee. John |

Your duty as an American is to the Commander-in-Chief, not to some abstract idealistic notion that places Iraqi lives above the safety of Americans. |

No connection to Al-Qeda, no nerve gas, no danger to the stability of the Middle East - but they do have a lot of oil... And just who did Bush and Cheney give those lucrative oil rebuilding contracts to after the war, and in spite of their track record of defrauding the US government? Why, it was their old friends at Haliburton Oil! The very company Cheney was CEO of - coincidence? http://www.nathannewman.org/log/archives/000295.shtml http://money.cnn.com/2003/03/25/news...war_contracts/ > Dubya ought to be Impeached, removed from office, and tossed in > Prison. You fucking sheep - I can see why a moron like Bush is the best you can do for a leader. BTW, he's only the commmander in chief to the armed services. To the rest of the US, he's a temp. Duty to your leader is the North Korean idea of citizenship, loser. > |

There is no doubt that Bush's lies run deeper and more serious than Clinton,
and maybe worse than Nixon. "Jeff Ayers" <jeff.ayers@comcast.net> wrote in message news:ICIQa.62708$ye4.44496@sccrnsc01... > Why? Much of the "Intelligence" used was outdated, coming from the early 90s, and was no longer valid. More of the "Intelligence" was politicized by the Bush gang. |
