It looks like Senator Hillary Clinton will sell her millionth copy very
soon. Conservative commentator Tucker Carlton, from CNN's "Crossfire",
promised to eat his shoes if she sells a million copies. If I were
Hillary Clinton, I'd ask Tucker Carlton to read the book instead, he
might learn something. It's really a well written book, very
informative, and interesting, as well as appropriately titled, "Living
History".

This is my favorite line in her book:

"...There is an interlocking network of groups and individuals who want
to turn the clock back on many of the advances our country has made,
from civil rights and women's rights to consumer and environmental
regulations, and they use all the tools at their disposal - money,
power, influence, media and politics - to achieve their ends. In recent
years, they have mastered the politics of personal destruction. Fueled
by extremists who have been fighting progressive politicians and ideas
for decades, they are funded by corporations, foundations and
idividuals..."

And she names names. But you'll have to buy the book to find out who
they are.

From The Los Angeles Times

Hillary Envisions a Fashionable Lunch

Hillary Rodham Clinton, on a 20-city book tour, is thinking about shoes.
Not comfortable shoes. Her feet don't hurt, though she does ice her hand
at night to relieve the pain. "The hardest part is signing all those
title pages and shaking people's hands," she says. Rather, the U.S.
senator from New York is wondering what kind of shoes taste best. She's
heard that Tucker Carlson, the conservative co-host of CNN's
"Crossfire," has promised to eat his shoe if she sells a million copies
of her memoir, "Living History."

She's close. Her publisher, Simon & Schuster, so sure that the first
printing will sell out, has already ordered another 600,000.

"I am going to be curious as to what sort of shoe he chooses: flip-flop
or soft leather," she says.

She doesn't know if she'll attend his culinary feat. Juggling her
Senate duties and the book tour has forced her "to cut out nearly
everything else."

She can't name the last book she read. The last movie she saw was "Bend
It Like Beckham," more than a month ago. Maybe she should rent Charlie
Chaplin's silent 1935 classic "The Gold Rush" and watch him boil and eat
his boot, laces and all.

Or maybe Carlson should rent it. But he'll need a lot more culinary
help: He's also promised to eat his tie.

Does this mean you read the book? If so, how about giving us a book
review? I keep seeing you liberals making a such a big deal over it,
but no one's reading it....

She sucks. A lying carpetbagger, her husband needed no help with his
personal self destruction. She is so ashamed of what she's trying to do to
this country that she won't even call herself a liberal, just progressive.
She is a disgusting peice of crap.

I am personally 3/4 done, myself, it is a good book, and funny (ref:
Bill, watermelons, soft sheets and towels). It is informative as well
about many of the decisions made during the 90s. But I am not quite
done, but I think pubs and dems alike can enjoy this book.
