http://www.co2science.org/ushcn/stationoftheweek.htm USHCN Temperature Record of the Week: Anderson, South Carolina ----------------------------------------------------------------------- To bolster our claim that "There Has Been No Global Warming for the Past 70 Years," each week we highlight the temperature record of one of the 1221 U.S. Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) stations from 1930-2000. This issue's temperature record of the week is from Anderson, South Carolina. During the period of most significant greenhouse gas buildup over the past century, i.e., 1930 and onward, Anderson's mean annual temperature has cooled by 2.02 degrees Fahrenheit. Not much global warming here! See: http://www.co2science.org/ushcn/stationoftheweek.htm for graph. |

That cowardly troll from Calgary has confused local
and global again. There must be a minimum IQ necessary to understand the difference, and those below that minimum are doomed to never learn these two concepts. Does he really think that Anderson, South Carolina is the globe? 1) Multiple data sets agree that global mean surface temperatures are warming: This graph shows that the data collections from NCDC, GISS, and SHI also tracks the results of the CRU scientists. http://www.grida.no/climate/ipcc_tar/wg1/fig2-1.htm also see: http://cdiac.esd.ornl.gov/trends/tem...ics/allann.jpg http://cdiac.esd.ornl.gov/trends/tem...na/lugina.html http://www.grida.no/climate/ipcc_tar/wg1/fig2-20.htm 2) More instruments than just thermometers report the warming: A) The warming also shows in Radiosonde readings at launch time. see: http://cdiac.esd.ornl.gov/trends/tem...ll/angell.html "...the University of East Anglia data of Jones et al. (2001) indicate a global surface warming of 0.17°C/decade during 1979-2001 compared to the surface warming of 0.15°C/decade obtained from the 63-station network." B) Satellite Microwave Sounding Unit data also indicates warming.
