One of all terrorists' main goals is to provoke their enemy into
over-reacting. Anyone who doesn't think that Al Qaeda wouldn't be thrilled if the United States chipped away at its most fundamental liberties, doesn't know Al Qaeda. They would love to see the U.S. turn into a police state - it would confirm their darkest view of us, would cost us legitimacy in the world, and spread enormous and de-stabilizing dissension at home. So let me re-phrase your question: If you were a terrorist, who do you think would be more likely to over-react and whittle away at the Bill of Rights, liberals or conservatives? I think the answer to that is clear, and it should tell us all something. Both of you guys are destroying this nation from the core of it... it's freedom. You use taxes as weapon / excuse to rob from one group and give to another as both of you run honest business out of this country and deepen the depth of poverty here. You're equally evil, you're two thieves fighting over the last slice of cheese after the two of you have successfully gutted the economy. If I was a terrorist? I'd want Democrats AND Republicans to remain in power, bickering year after year as the government gets perpetually bigger until we're like every other socialist nation with a dead economy. Drop the useless partisan rhetoric and get a clue. The main killer of our economy is inflation, and your president and your congress (hey, you're the ones always sticking out your chest saying that you're in control) are the ones running up the deficit to fantastically obscene heights by increasing spending and decreasing government income. The USA should have acted along these lines LONG ago. It just took Bin Laden

There is no discussing this with you, as you somehow feel that a progressive tax system still robs from those that don't pay taxes or very few taxes to begin with. We are a capitalist nation. I know you hate that, and that is what sucks about liberals. They not only want to change our federal government type, but also want to change our economic system to something we KNOW won't work. You guys are fucking scary. I am sure your economics skills are lacking, so no need to even discuss this with you. > > If I was a terrorist? I'd want Democrats AND Republicans to remain in > power, bickering year after year as the government gets perpetually > bigger until we're like every other socialist nation with a dead > economy. That too. That is b/c all libs care about is ruining this country, since they hate it so much. > > Drop the useless partisan rhetoric and get a clue. The main killer of > our economy is inflation, Which is very low... and your president and your congress (hey, > you're the ones always sticking out your chest saying that you're in > control) are the ones running up the deficit to fantastically obscene > heights by increasing spending and decreasing government income. Actually, the government receives more income when taxes are lessened. It has been proven everytime it has been tried. Money grows. It isn't a static pie. Somehow I think you liberals know this, but you can't even bring yourself to agree with one of your own (JFK) b/c that means you will have to admit you were wrong all this time (kind of like welfare, isn't it?) Even under the "Great BJ Clinton" the DEBT went up considerably. The "surplus" was due to the bubble economy. The bubble burst at the end of Clinton's term, and once again, a Republican President has to come in and mop up the mess (kind of like Carter, right?) Deficits are going up, but so what? Interest rates are at the lowest in DECADES. The economy will come back around (as it already is much to you libs regret), which will have a HUGE impact on the deficit/debt. That is what got us from our supposed "surplus" to the deficit to begin with. The economy. And you have to be a fucking moron to ignore that we were heading in to the recession 6 months before Bush even took office, or that a 300 billion tax cut over 10 years would send us into a deficit (that is only 30 billion a year in a 10 trillion dollar/year economy), or what some call "a drop in the bucket." |
