I say good for him, he wants to stay in this business long term so he made a choice that would be secure. Not only will he have a stable job (especially good for him since he didnt finish college) but he also gets to play ball at the level and amount he has grown used to. Add to that the possibility of his own equipment line under the Dye brandname and he is definately setting himself up for a comfortable future. You can't call people sellouts anymore cause to make it in paintball right now you gotta treat it like a business. Look at player movements over the off season. Familiar names and players are all over the place, its just a common occurence now. Oliver definately made his name known on Dynasty, and if his closest friends and teammates can support the move he's made then I think everyone else can too.

I am very happy this is the outcome. this goes to show that paintballers can be paid enough money to live comfortably, without having to have a second (or primary) job. This is a large step forward for the paintball player industry, and thats what i've been wanting to see for a long time. Now people who aspire to be pro's at paintball can say "When I grow up, I want to be a professional paintballer," instead of "When I grow up, I want to be a professional paintballer and..."
Of course there are going to be plenty of people who will disagree with my point but being a paintball business owner, and player, I fully comprehend what is going to come about from this decision. This is the reason that I enjoyed seeing the NXL come about. Franchised teams, like all other Professional sports. Of course it didn't turn out the way I hoped but it was a start.

well oliver has his own gun under smart parts well had his own gun. Dynasty earned $125,00, in the NPPL this past season. You can add the $$ from the dynasty dysected training videos the camps that they put on and the sales of Dynasty shockers id say there all pretty well off.

dynasty has atleast 14 people on the team so the money isnt that great normally pro teams put tourney money towards the team, and dynasty dysected and camps still isnt that much they probably get around 5000 by the end of the year from all that stuff. and lets face it guys anyone in the right mind would take the money. and XSV will not dominate now dynasty has been working twice as hard to prove that they can survive without ollie
i would like to see paintball players getting more money for playing paintball but i dont want it to be like football were players get 20 million dollar signing bonus's. id rather itd be like a stable income to just live to play the game you love
