can't uncap the ion. it does however ship with the slow as shit rate of
fire setting (read manual and adjust rate of fire up)
all they did, was take it up to its 19bps from the stock 13

Why do you need to know that? Can't you aim?

Yes, if going for speed when compared to 15-20. You can actually see
the difference in a video. You can actually hear the difference
between 13 and 15bps.

I personally like the 13 bps except the higher rates are pretty good
for intimidation if needed or just want to for the fun of it.

The problem being that it isn't fun for a lot of people, I suspect it's just
one of the reasons why paintball is tanking so bad at the moment.

in the woods it's just a worthless waste of paint...
on a speedball field, you don't *NEED* it, but it's definately a
welcome bonus...
it is pure sex to walk a dm5's trigger up to 20 or so looks like one
continuous stream of paint... and sounds like rain on a tin roof when
it hits a bunker (that will scare anyone enough to keep them in)

For speedball you can practice your posture and snap viewing/shooting
from behind obstacles without actually being at a field.. That is
what my kids and the neighbor's kid did in my yard and they have
actually gotten very good at it. They have already been against a lot
of tourney players/teams and done very well.
