For the new guys, Proto is supposedly Dye's low(er)-end section. I still
won't buy anything from them, because I can usually find stuff that
serves my purposes better, cheaper. Dye grips are *really* nice, though,
and their masks are almost as good as Vforce.

I'm sure we have different ideas of the word, but *none* of my 'vag' has
had anything to do with VW's or Audis. :P

For the record, Halo B's don't always spin. They have an infrared sensor
hooked to the force-feed system. Just FYI.

I personally love and use the Dye Lock Lid Pods. I have the large
capacity ones and they are great. I have not dumped a pod since I
have had them. I use to use the standard pods and when I leaned
against a tree or something and they would open. I bought the Lock
Lids when they first came out as a promo and have not had the problem
since. They cost the same as regular pods and hold at least 20 more
paintballs each.

15 to 20 psi. Anything higher and it breaks beans. You also want to be
able to land the beans on thin paper plates without any breaks or tears
in the plates.

will it handle the big cans also or just the little

It can handle the bigger ones, but you have to be using compressed air
to maintain bean consistency. LCT's working on a faster model that only
uses those mega cans that you get at those bulk buying grocery places.

How often to you have to pull maintenance on it or does it just

I tear it down and clean it after every cookout. You can use any type
of fat or grease as long as it's edible.

Uh...no.

I have one (found it at the field and nobody claimed it) and use it, and
I enjoy it. It takes a little getting used too, though. I personally
haven't had any problems with the standard type, and the ones I use
(Virus--got a box of a dozen for $7 plus shipping) will take a bit of abuse.

We found with the lock lids in your pack properly when you do a slide
and roll will stay closed whereas the standard pop-tops come open.

I still use the pop-tops every once in awhile but the Dyes hold more
and secure. I also like the bumps on the pods as with gloves on it
makes it easier to hold onto them.

The only thing you have to remember when you get one is to sit there
and break it in before you actually use it in play. I mean sit there
and open and close it several times (I go for 20-30 times on each) you
will notice the difference.
