BB and paintball guns found in high school
By: Joseph Harvie, Staff Writer 09/29/2005 Email to a friend Voice your opinion Printer-friendly Students charged with possession of a weapon. Two South Brunswick High School students were charged Friday with illegal possession of a weapon after they were found with a BB gun and a paint ball gun while they were at the school. Police said the weapons were discovered after a fellow student told a staff member that the 14-year-old and 15-year-old males spoke about "getting someone." A search of one of the teens produced a BB gun, which at first glance School Resource Officer Robert Carinci believed was an actual handgun. "The BB gun looked just like a regular handgun and was in the one suspect's backpack," Officer Carinci said. South Brunswick School Superintendent Gary McCartney would not comment on the specific incident. He said no weapons are allowed on school property and that if a weapon is found, the district takes "the strongest action the law allows." Both weapons were in the boys' possession without a permit, according to police. Police said the students were arrested and turned over to their parents pending additional investigation. ©PACKETONLINE News Classifieds Entertainment Business - Princeton and Central New Jersey 2005 Email to a friend Voice your opinion Printer-friendly Top Last edited by Nightkast : 10-13-2005 at 11:29 PM. |

What is wrong with a child taking a gun to school? Everyone just assumes that the kid is going to kill everyone with it...jeez... |

I was up north on the weekend and a total stranger lent me his 12guage
shotgun for a turkey shoot. How's that for trusting! Life in a small town is so different than the city. I get home, and the neighbor tells me there was a shooting down the road on the weekend. Good argument Tony. |
