Ok, so I got a new Ion. I need to get a electronic loader. I've narrowed
my choices down to the following three. The EVolution Egg, the Ricochet Apache LCD, or the Halo B. It seems that all the pros use the Halo, but it is the most expensive and all three of these loaders are fast enough for the Ion. I've read that the Egg tends to break at the feed neck a lot. I'm leaning towards the Apache LCD because I like the extra features it has. I was hoping that someone here has had experience with all three and could offer some advice. I'm looking for more info than just speed. i.e. reliability, durability, weight distribution, weight. Thanks |

all will do the job, however i'd go with the halo
i use a cut down halo (shortened feedneck) on the halo, and the eblade it has the smallest profile and doesn't interfere with the eyes. the rip drive is also a lifesaver on occasion (gravity feeding doesn't work on the halo) the evlution is really annoying to open to reload (since that sliding thing is difficult to operate wearing gloves...) the ricochet doesn't really do a whole lot more than the regular 12v revvy. since ion is 19pps it will not keep up. |

Everybody I know who uses the Halo owns at least two of them, as one is always messed up, the eyes need cleaning or something. The Ricochet Apache and the Egg are more reliable although they aren't quite as fast, you will need spare doors etc. for the Egg, but it's a good idea to have those for any brand. So it depends on whether you're trying to play paintball or set firing-rate speed records, a lot of guys are more interested in the latter for some reason. |

The 2005 Apache LCD boasts 19-20 bps and the Ion can only shoot at 17 bps anyway. To tell you the truth I can't fire faster than about 10 bps anyway. I'm just trying to understand why the Halo costs so much more. Also I'm more concerned with reliability, durability, weight, and weight distribution rather than speed. I think it's real easy to just say go with the Halo because that's what many people are using. Since I'm not shooting an Angel or a DMC do I really need to spend the extra $50? The reason I'm asking is because in the past I've made a few stupid purchases. One example is a full Freak stainless steel kit for my A-5. Now anyone that shoots an A-5 knows that's like putting racing tires on an old VW Beetle. Another example is buying another A-5 for a back up. My primary has never failed and I've never had to use the backup. Sometimes it's really hard to see past all the hype. |

I even know a store that tried to sell a 2004 for the as a 2005 Apache. Trust me they were embarrassed by the end of the sale as the kid that was buying it knew the difference. He now likes the apache because it is faster than the egg he was using and boasts a bigger and easier reload port. >I'm just trying to understand why the Halo costs so much more. >Also I'm more concerned with reliability, durability, weight, and weight >distribution rather than speed. They tried to sell a B loader to the kid but he said "I can't afford it". This kid pays for his own equipment and field time. I totally admire that, I mean you just have to. > >I think it's real easy to just say go with the Halo because that's what many >people are using. Damn, boy, I've got a bridge for sale, interested? Another example is buying another A-5 for a back up. My > primary has never failed and I've never had to use the backup. You bought a SECOND Tippmann gun to back up your FIRST Tippmann? What, didn't you get the memo? Tippmann guns are the rock the church was built on! They NEVER break! Geez, I seem to recall you asking this very group for advice on those very purchases. I specifically remember advising you against both purchases. You know, if you're not going to heed our advice, it's kind of silly to even ask. In short, get whatever loader you want, it's not like sound solid advice is going to make much difference to you. -- Jeff Goslin - MCSD - www.goslin.info It's not a god complex when you're always right |

But, if you're not cheating, you don't need one that fast. I'm currently using a Halo LED. They are much cheaper, and keep up with a normal trigger finger just fine. They also change feed direction based on the way the gun is tilted. |

I never did ask this group about either of these purchases but I guess that really doesn't matter to you because you just said that so you could be A BIG FUCKIN PENIS like you usually are. You know when I first came to this group you seemed to be fairly cool and offer some good advice. Anymore you are just looking for a reason to be a cock. You don't care about any points you are just looking to belittle people with a counterpoint. I didn't tell you about those purchases so you could act like an asshole. Your like fucking Hitler. You make a few intelligent posts. A few regulars kiss your ass. And now you strut around here like your the fuckin Uber Baller, shitting on every post. I've had it with you, you pathetic ****! |
