I am looking for new markers for my 11 and 13 year olds. Can someone explain
the difference between the WGP Trilogy Pro and the WGP Trilogy Competition? Also are these better markers than the Tippman A5? What about the Smartparts ION. Thanks in advance. |

Kill all non-SP electro markers WGP - trilogy pro ..691 and .687 barrel backs Wrap-around grip 3d milling -*whoopee Delron bolt -*not a necessity Angled air receiver -*whoopee Inline regulator Full hinge frame Competition Wrap around grips Inline regulator Two fade anodizing Compact hinge frame (smaller grip..may be better for your kids?) you may not want to buy autocockers if you are unfamiliar with them, they need to be timed and if you muck with the adjustments and you do not know what you are doing you will chop alot of paint or the marker will be inconsistant. -but some reading and understanding can fix that A-5 Tippmann excellent customer service rugged and sturdy built in air-assisted hopper that force-feeds balls into breach, no need to buy an electric hopper. (buy a good aftermarket barrel for any of your choices) |

All are a totally different approach to paintball markers. The major
differences between the pro and competition are that the Pro comes with a better trigger frame, two barrel backs for paint matching (which can be important on closed bolt guns like the autococker), an angled air receiver (regulator/foregrip), a smoother bolt, and fancier milling. The autococker and the A5 are both proven designs, while the Ion just hit the market. Honestly, although I shoot a cocker, there's not enough in the trilogy series to commend them over many other choices in the price range, and for a first gun, there's too much that can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing with them. The A5 is a workhorse, very durable, shoots quick enough, and I've never really heard too many people complain about them, probably a very good choice for young players and old alike. If they are playing on a recreational level, the A5 is more than enough gun for them. The Ion is a paint slinging machine. The gun is inexpensive, but for two kids (likely without a lot of fire discipline) you're going to be blowing the budget on paint. Unless they are getting into young gunz tourneys, there's no reason to get them into that kind of firepower. If they are playing at a regulated field, they're probably dumping $5-10 per 100 rounds, or $75-100 per case of paint. With Ions, they'll feel pressure to dump 10 balls per second at the other team, which, assuming $100 per case for ease of math, runs about a dollar every two seconds of firing. With a fast gun, it can be hard to resist it. Anyway, just my opinion. IMHO considering the age of your children go with the a5.... sturdy, can take a lot of beating, easy maintenence, no electronics, great for begginners.... when they get older/more experienced then go for something more sophisticaded -- Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. |

yeah, anything from tippman is going to be sturdy as a brick.the Trilogy
line of cockers isnt really worth the money, you cant upgrade them any farther than a barrel and a reg.and you can get a full, for real autococker for a little bit more. i wouldnt suggest the ion for anyone who was going to use it as their primary gun. ANGEL 4 LIFE-EZ PAINTBALL= #1 |

Just get the tippman. It's a good begginners gun and you won't be
spending thousands of dollars on them |
