Ah yes!!!!!!
Real Paintball, where did it go? When did Paintball become the Hula hoop of the 21st century? When? When they lowered tha age limits, and brought in all the teenagers! Yes, an excellent public opinion move, and a move that made paintball universally accepted! But it also killed the game! Why? Most of todays youth are cheaters! They WIPE! They refuse to call themselves out when hit and the have no concept or what real game of paintball is all about! I began playing in 1988, nelspot pumps and 10 round tubes! I must say, I didnt like that much, but Paintabll was best when everyone began using 7 0z tanks and 50 round hoppers--you could have real battles and yet still be able to snipe and sneak up on people ! Nowdays, the buzzer goes off, and all you hear is noise, from all the punks, spray painting the scenery--no aiming involved, just hose the area ,and claim credit for kills you didnt get! Its a shame, because sneaking around in the woods, and nailing some no nut scumsucker was just so much fun! PUMP ONLY!!!!!! REAL PAINTBALL!!!!! The Arizona HOSERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Well it's like this. The sport is split. Speedball and Woodsball. Now I love
woodsball but a lot of the kids today like the allure of speedball. Space guns, hot chicks, bright colored hip gear. Field owners like Speedball because they can sell a ton of paint. It's two totally different scenes. You go to a woodsball field and everyone is friendly and having a good time sharing stories about games and gear. You go to a Speedball field and there are a bunch of young kids all trying to be cool and insulting each other trying to impress the bitches. Now I am addicted to paintball so sometimes I'll go to a indoor speedball field in the winter. I know I don't fit in but I usually do fairly well. Most woodsballers do well because they don't rely on just laying tons of paint. On the other hand speedball guys suck in the woods. I love it and hate when these guys play in the woods. I love it because they are easy marks. They wear their bright colored jerseys so you can see them a mile away. When they do see you they are so used to the closed quarter fields that they give their position away by firing when they are out of range. Now I hate it because since they are out of their element and do so poorly they resort to wiping. Now not all wipers are Speedballers I've seen my share of others wiping too. This really pisses me off. Just a week ago I had to light up a few kids that continually were wiping. I mean in the XBOX game Greg Hastings Paintball there is an option to try and wipe before the ref sees you. I think the creators of the game have a responsibility discourage cheating. But they are promoting it. Bull-F-ing-Sht! I will tell you this. I'm not a fan of malicious overshooting but if I catch anyone wiping I will shoot the hell out of them even at the risk of being ejected from the field. If you are interested in a paintball league that specializes in honor come check out the North American Scenario Paintball League. http://www.naspbl.com And be sure to check out the forums. I think this league will be more to your liking. |
