I bought my first marker this weekend. A Tippmann Custom 98.
When I got it home and tried to operate it the balls rolled out
of the barrel unfettered. There was a part called the "Ball Latch"
that was missing. Perhaps someone at the store scavenged the part
for someone else.
Anyway, I called Tippmann this am and they will overnight me
the part. No problem.
If this is the level of service you regularly receive from them I will
be a customer for a long time.

Tippmann has traditionly been known for superb service, it's good to know
they are keeping that up even after the company changed ownership.

Yes, it is the service you can expect from Tippman on anything they make.
They've been known to ship out replacements and extras, for the commonly
lost or worn parts. If they hadn't kept that when they changed owneership,
their market share would drop sharply.

That is the way they do business. You've bought into one of the best-backed
marker families in the business, Gor. The few times I've had problems with
my A-5, replacement parts were shipped out immediately and always arrived a
day sooner than promised. And if it's something that you can't fix on your
own, the only thing you pay is the cost to ship it to them. They'll fix it
free of charge, and ship it back to you immediately. When my response
trigger malfunctioned, I shipped it to them on a Monday and had it to play
with on Friday afternoon.

same experience. No questions no BS.. you tell them whats wrong and they
ship it out. No explaining what happened and why you need yada. I had a
similar experience with Palmer, super phone support and a really nice
sounding chick on the phone

Both of those companies have my biz anytime

Well, that's a good thing about Tippman. Even off the warrantee, they send
you parts. Can't fix it without the parts, and even better if they're free,
huh?

Interesting perspective. All that aside, the reason to get a Tippmann
actually doesn't stem from their service, in my opinion. Their service
excellence is simply an added bonus feature, there if you need it.
Thankfully, however, there is rarely need to avail yourself of their
services, given the quality of manufacturing that goes into Tippmann's
products.

If by p***ies you mean pussies, you must be confused. I like pussies.
Like em a lot. Maybe you meant panzies. In which case ya... how flower
like to ask for a free part rather than fabing your own down in the forge
