The valve on my Nightmare 68 SB [short barrel] is all one piece. The only thing you can unscrew from the rear is the valve guide retaining nut.
I imagine the easiest thing to do is 'bang' out the whole thing using a stick down the barrel. The mystery is how 'air' is supposed to be held in the valve. Other than the valve 'needle' , spring, washer, there are two washers at the for'd end of the valve inside, one 'cardboard, one 'plastic. The two washers, held inplace by the valve spring are the only thing that stop 'air' from bypassing the closed valve altogether. I suspect that mashing the valve tip with a screwdriver in order to engage the slots on the valve retaining nut[ to unscrew it] may deform the forward end of the valve tube and these two washers. Anyway the whole thing 'knocks' out, using a dowel down the barrel. |

I am still puzzled by what the point of this post is. Are you asking a
question or telling us....the world will never know. "Williams" <spikewilliams@qx.net> wrote in message news:gMqdnaWKZvRtKnDcRVn-1Q@qx.net... Have you ever checked Yahoo search ' mcarterbrown' or
<mcarterbrown.com> ? Super moderated and structured Old Paintball Marker sight. Anyway, there is little info on Nightmare 68 [SB, LB] valve [google, 'net] that seems to have only this one problem. I have discovered a Stingray page that shows a similar valve. I really didn't know what question if any to ask, because I know all there is to know and posted for the delight and delictation of the broad masses accessing Google on this subject. ...O-ring 'Buna 010'. |
