Size depends on your gun and how you play with it. Your best bet would be to go to your local store, tell them what gun you have and how much you tend to shoot, give them your limit on what you are willing to spend, and let them recommend something. The only thing I would avoid is buying a used bottle off of ebay or something. A lot of times you are buying someone else's problem, like a bottle that can't be hyrdotested (meaning you can't get a fill at anyplace reputable). There are a lot of good deals, but it is hard for a novice to root them out from the cons. -- Phelps <http://www.donotremove.net> "Bury me with all my stuff, because you know that it is mine." -- Master Shake's Suicide Note, "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" |

Preset Compressed Air tanks have ASA threads that you can simply screw into your adaptor and your good to to go. What size tank you get mostly depends on personal preference and style of play. My first tank was a 114ci 3000psi tank that I ran off a remote and carried in my harness. It was WAY to big to actually run it on gun. In 2000 I upgraded to an Angel LCD and used an 88/4500 Pure Energy tank which I ran "on gun". I really like not tied down (pun intended) by a remote coil and having the tank on the gun. The larger 88ci size still gave me plenty of air for 24 hour scenario games and I wouldn't have to spend the time (and money) getting fills. Last year I started playing mostly speedball at indoor paintball fields. The 88/4500 seemed to be too big for that style of play, so I moved to a 68/4500 Crossfire on a Shocker SFT. The fields I play at offer free air fills and the games are short enough I don't really need to worry about running out in the middle of the game. Pricewise - Pure Energy tanks seem to be the most reasonably priced. Performacewise - Crossfire all the way! In my opionion, If you are playing mostly walk-on and speedball a 68/4500 tank is the way to go. If you do a lost of scenario or big games I'd go for a little bigger tank. In any case, I'd stay away from 3000psi tanks. Oh... All of my tanks were purchased off of ebay. Two new and one only a couple months old. No problems with any of them Junkie Team Twilight Zone http://www.tzpaintball.com |

I believe they started a direct copy of the ACI Bulldog 3 tanks/regs, which are excellent. The newer runs, however, seem to suck noodles. I know 3A has good customer service, though, so it shouldn't be hard to get them to replace crap. Besides, you can always run it through a reg. |

I have a first-generation 3A 68/4500, and I love it. The anime girl on it
even kinda looks like my wife. :-) "MathU41" <mathu41@aol.com> wrote in message news:20050116190241.02052.00000058@mb-m14.aol.com... > >Check out 3a air tanks. they are inexpensive and have an ebay store. Go with a 68/4500. Best all-around size and easier to resell.
I use only Nitro Duck, now. More expensive, but worth it. |
