Ive found first person shooters too be beneficial for working out strategy
and awareness in paintball games. Although your aim and phyical movements are not trained playing video games, ive played paintball with friends of mine that i usually game with, and we've ended up doing somewhat better than the other weekend warrior rec ball players. I feel that the tactical learning curve can be overcome playing games like America's Army. The link below is an article that in some ways confirms my observations. http://www.boston.com/business/techn.../war_games_20/ |

(not sure it will help too much in spedball) playing online with your friends you ball with will probably help you coordinate teamwork and communication (i prefer hand signals though but voice is fun also) |

Video games have been known to improve hand-eye coordination, and
reaction speed. I read an article on slashdot where it was reported that video games accually help some doctors and surgeons perform better with their hands. These people obviously need steady hands, as well as accuracy for what they do. Sorry, I could not find the article =( |
