I am a new poster to this newsgroup, so I dunno if this has come up
before. I am a player who plays semioften, and I was looking into getting a new gun. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the armotech sim 4, and also whether anyone knows what was going on with armotech. I originally heard it was a good gun, but then I heard people saying it was fake and that it wasn't coming from the real armotech, etc. I'm sure you've all heard it before. Really, though, the company doesn't matter if they make a decent gun, so I was wondering if anyone had any field experience with the gun and could tell me how it performs. Who is the real armotech is just a side issue. |

I like your name!
![]() My opinion is that armotechs are overpriced for their performance. I would either spend less money and get a Tippmann A-5, or, for about the same money you could get a nice Automag. -- "Don't be misled, bad company corrupts good character." www.LCTPaintball.com www.LCTProducts.com "TheStudlyTaco" <lunchtable@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:c001b8bb.0408120827.60faa31c@posting.google.c om... > I am a new poster to this newsgroup, so I dunno if this has come up > before. You could visit the forums at www.ariakon.com and talk to people who
actually own them to get some first hand feedback. I own an Armotech SIM-4 (now called Ariakon) and it is a great marker.
Yes it is expensive. Yes it is comprobable to an Tippman A-5. And yes everyone and their cousion has an A-5 so if you want to stand out get one of these. The reason I bought my SIM-4 was cause of the teloscopeing stock, front hand guard and the accesory options (lights, laser sights, red dot, scope, etc). I also like the tactical/stretgy side of paintball so this marker, or an Armotech WG series or WarSensor are great for this. Yes you can buy a stock and all that crap for a A-5 but it does not look quite right in my opinion. They come stock with a 13.5" barrel so they are accurate. If you are not planting rounds in a 1" spot at 50 yards just remember that the dynamics of a smooth bore, ball round, fireing system is NOT ACCURATE in of its self. It is essetionally like a musket if you think about it. The basic difference between the SIM 4 and 5 is the style and barrel length. SIM-4's are modeled after Colt M4s (longer barrel) while the SIM-5 is after the H&K MP5 (Shorter barrel): near equal accuracy. Notes: One thing to remember with the SIM series is to ALWAYS put your bolt in the correct way or you can damage your ball detent. The things come HOT so rememebr to chrono before you play cause mine shot 350-370 FPS out of the box (you may have to remove the spring extension, or just shoot it to wear the spring in. Hope this helps.
