None! Order from your local field. You can get a cheaper deal on line, but you get better service from your home field. Pay the extra, the service will be worth it for you. |

Some military surplus stores carry them, some fields do, so on. Get to know the
people at a place where you buy them. One of the guys at my local surplus store knows how to fix just about any problem with any of the guns there, and does all the research he can whenever he gets a knew one in. |

Ok, you've got your beginner marker already, Wal-Mart has served its purpose. Check www.warpig.com for stores and fields in your area. A pball store might be more expensive than ordering online, but it's usually worth it for the extra service and plus being able hold in your hands what you want to buy. Since you're interested in barrel: A list of common low-price, good quality barrels: J&J Ceramic ~$35-40 LAPCO Bigshot or Autospirit ~$45-50 Custom Products ~$50 Smart Parts Progressive ~$45-50 DYE Excel ~$50 There are lots of others but these are the common ones. I'd say pretty near 100% of us here have shot at least one or two of these before. I'd advise you to avoid the 32 Degrees barrels especially the newer ones (Quiet Riot, Whisper). I've found those to be of pretty inconsistent quality. There's nothing special about the good barrels except they're smoother and straighter. There's no magic to barrels, they're just aluminum tubes. Whatever you do, check with us before you buy ANYTHING. There's a lot of hyped products out there. Joel Hoyt |

I agree to an extent Hoyt on the walmart thing - I'm not ever buying
anything paintball from Walmart again - I figured I'd ask about the "distance barrel" though. Yeah warpig got some good resources and stuff... J.
