Actually, more of the moving around had to do with being a student.
My time spent with the Army (reserves, actually) was many years ago
and they never sent me anywhere for more than a month or two at a time.
I started life in Sault Ste Marie, went to Japan as an exchange student,
back to the Sault to finish high school, down to Kitchener-Waterloo
for uni, back to the Sault to change schools, and now we're in
Victoria because my wife's in law school here. Short forays to
Petawawa, Borden, and Grayling MI were all the travelling I ever did
with the military.

There are roads which must not be followed, armies which must be not
attacked, towns which must be besieged, positions which must not be
contested, commands of the sovereign which must not be obeyed. :Sun Tzu
