Howdy Gents;
I do not see this greeting in this newsgroup much, but here goes "only to those of legal age of course" Elbow up to the bar and let me buy all you paint throwing, HPA eating comrades a drink of your choice!!! I have given in to the kid, which turns 15 this Sunday, man am I getting old!! I have agreed to either play some tourny ball with him or at least let him play. So, the question here is, I have a 2k2 LCD Dark Angel and he has a 2k0 LCD Dark Angel that we will be playing with on our little adventure. Of the loaders that I have to chose from, unless otherwise corrected in this thread, I have narrowed my preference down to the Halo B and the Evo II. The folks that bring the Halo B to my field generally cuss them for the paint not feeding well due to the color and them breaking shells. I have not heard much if any that I can think of complaints of the Evo II (looks funny, did not really make the list of complaints). So, any thoughts on the subject? To Halo B or Evo II and that gentlemen is the question. (ok, young men are welcome to answer, but touch my beer and I will BITE!) hehe. james |

Legal age in Europe or the US
![]() ok, well, I loves my HALO B and it loves me. Had very few problems with jamming and misfeeding...regardless of color, The Halo is a solid choice against the eggII "James @ Extreme Outdoor Sports" <james@extremeoutdoorsports.com> wrote in message news:4e7d87de.0311061118.60b69bb@posting.google.co m... > Howdy Gents; > > I do not see this greeting in this newsgroup much, but here goes "only > to those of legal age of course" Elbow up to the bar and let me buy > all you paint throwing, HPA eating comrades a drink of your choice!!! > > I have given in to the kid, which turns 15 this Sunday, man am I > getting old!! > I have agreed to either play some tourny ball with him or at least let > him play. I own both. Multiples of both, and they both have advantages and
disadvantages. I'll list them here. Evollution II +More gentle on paint -Fragile +Lighter -Wider Profile +Can feed any paint color +Easy to service +Shorter turn-around repair time (believe it or not) -Must use mid/high rise to get any decent ROF out of it. +Cheaper HaloB Z-Board w/ Rip Drive +MUCH faster -CANNOT FEED DARK/BLACK PAINT RELIABLY! +Smaller Profile -Heavier +Not as gentle on paint (may experience some breakage depending on the gun). -Horrible turn-around on repairs/upgrades. +Works AWESOME with a low or No-rise +Well built/solid. All that being said, my loader of choice on my Angel Speed w/low rise is the HaloB Z-code w/ Rip drive. It's simply faster and the lastest software makes it gentlER on paint. Plus I can tuck in tighter since the halo is thinner in the head-on profile and the fact that I can use a lowrise. -- -Mike Evans Georgia Tech Paintball "James @ Extreme Outdoor Sports" <james@extremeoutdoorsports.com> wrote in message news:4e7d87de.0311061118.60b69bb@posting.google.co m... The z-board for the Evo II speeds it up a bit, and actually makes the hopper a
'force fed' system. I doubt that it can burst as fast as a Halo B, but I've noticed a definite improvement since slapping the board into my Eggy. For me, the reliability and simpler layout of the egg were the deciding factors. Dennis "I know we're where we're supposed to be, but I don't know where we're supposed to be is." |
