How hard would it be for you to stop double posting. BTW Jose has it right,
cept you could use a spst switch, put the negatives together and just switch
the positives.

How hard would it be to wire in a switch and an extra battery (9V). THe
switch would allow me to, in a game, switch between the 9v and the AA's that
are standard. Basically add a backup battery.

My question is, how would i wire that so that it doesnt drain on the 9v when
im not using it.

HOW MUCH GODDAMN PAINT DO YOU SHOOT THAT YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FIRING
THROUGH A WHOLE BATTERY IN A FUCKIN GAME?????

Geez. Instead of rewiring the thing, try firing a little less.

Sounds like a lot of dicking around to me. Sounds complicated. Wire this.
Switch that. Go to backup. Like the story line to Armageddon or something.
What are you playing like some kind of 72 hour marathon for-charity game?
Does the HaloB just run continuously, then? I mean, it's not like this is
grandpa's nebulizer or something that you need an uninterrupted power supply
for. Or is it?

you can get a rip drive installed....it wouldn't void the warrantee.

I bought rechargable AA batts. I recharge them about every third time I play
and never had a problem.

I think you are wasting your time and possibly ruining your halo if you go
all MAcgyver on it.

The parts involved would the the battery holder, wires and a DPDT switch.
You can get the switch at any Radio Shack or such store. Do you plan on
mounting the backup battery directly to the side of the loader?

Okay Mikey Two Times, here's an more elegant solution to your problem.

Put a battery in your pocket.

And anyway, I don't own a Halo and I'm not an electrical whiz but I don't think
something meant to run on 4AAs will run on a 9V. They have different output.

*ahem*

six AAs

and you CAN run it off of a 9v the battery tray for the 6 AAs plugs into a
9v adapter ( you can remove the tray , BUT it will not run well at all.

Regardless of the form factor, don't they put out like, different amps or
sumpin?

Higher amperage is good. Higher voltage is bad. Six AA's will actually
have more energy stored than a 9-volt.
