The local paintball store around here sells the 1 oz. bottles of gun
oil for $6.00 a pop. I'd rather buy 36 cans of soda for that much, at
least I can drink that. My question is this. I have a 4 oz. can of
Elmer's Slide-All Dry Spray Lubricant lying around and was thinking
that might work. Thoughts/suggestions about my solution or other
solutions you guys have come up with.

Three in one oil or sewing machine oil is what i use...It works great for me
no gumming up or anything, and much cheaper than "paintball gun" oil

And every gun says not to use that stuff.

Get a bottle of oil made for paintball guns. 1 bottle is all you need. I've
had the same bottle for 5-6 years.

And most "airsmiths" are 15 year old kids that don't know shit. Anyone that
calls themself an "airsmith" is a moron.

I do what the makers of the gun say.

A bottle has probably 200 drops in it. A gun needs about 2 drops per 8000
shots. That will last anyone a lifetime. Even people like me that play every
weekend.

If you need a lot of oil then maybe you need to have some else oil your gun for
you.

I don't have a delrin bolt or any self-oiling parts in my marker. I'd
like to be able to thoroughly clean my internals after every match and
I don't think that 2 drops every 8000 shots will do it enough good.
