I was wondeing if i can drill my own holes in the body and installing them. Would i need to get a new board, i have the stock board on right now. Would i have to upgrade my board say like a chaos chip. When i drill the holes do i drill behind the ball deten right under the feedneck, or do i still need the ball detent. thanks for looking any help would be appriciated.

You do not need to purchase a new board to install PDS, the stock board will be fine.

You will still need to retain the detent, As seen in the pic below some modification (filing) to the eye cover may be needed so that it fits correctly. I have pasted a list of instructions below that includes all the tools and other various things you need to complete the installation. Seeing as how you are getting the wiring harness with the eyes already attached some of what is listed below may not be required.

*****CAUTION******* This is some heavy duty stuff that I personally do not recommend doing alone. If you incorrectly drill the holes your marker body will be ruined, and I cannot be held responsible for what is done to your marker.

I would recommend checking out ICD Owners.com and ask around before attempting anything.

Parts List

1)13/64 Drill Bit
2)Drill
3)(1)512-QED423(mouser.com)
4)(1)512-QSD722(mouser.com)
5)Tiny orings(to put around eyes)
6)Wire
7)Soldering Iron
8)Solder
9)Epoxy/Jb Weld
10)Nail
11)Some sort of switch

Procedure

1)Use something to mark 2 holes 26/32 inch from the very top of where the feedneck screws in(take feedneck off), and 2 and 1/32 inch from the front of the breech(where the barrel screws in)

2)Put something thick, like the strap-part of a strap wrench into the breech.

3)Use nail, and hammer into center of holes you marked in step 1

4)Use Drill and Drill bit to drill into one side of the body where you just use a nail to make an indentation, making sure that bit doesn't slip.(I find it is easier to use a smaller bit to start the holes then finish with the 11/64) Proceed to step 5 or 5a, whichever you feel more comfortable with.

5-5A)Remove item you put into breech in step 2, insert drill and drill bit(11/64) into hole you drilled in step 4, go STRAIGHT down and drill through oposite side of breech.OR, flip body over and repeat step 4.

6)Go here for Wiring Diagram

7)Strip part of the blue wire going the the microswith and solder 2 wires aproxiamatly 8 inches long to it, then use shrink wrap/electrical tape to cover it.

8)Cut one of the wires u soldered after so you have a 3-4 inch piece soldered to the blue microswitch wire.

9)Solder both ends of the cut wire to a switch, this will go to the IRED emitter(clear one)

10)Twist the ends of 2 pieces of wire 8 inches in length and glue them in ports 10 and 11(starting from top left-right then bottom left-right)

11)Get the wire from step 7 with the switch along with the wire glued into port 10 and seperate them from the other wire from step 7 and wire glued into port 11.

12)File down your body where it meets the tray directly beneath the eye holes so the wires have a channel.

13)Get the wire with the switch and wire from port 10 and hook them up to the emitter(clear)IRED, wire with the switch goes to the SHORTER post. Hook up the other wire without the switch and the wire from port 11 to the reciever(black) IRED, wire from port 11 goes to the LONGER post.

14)Put the eyes in the holes and test to make sure they are preventing your marker from firing. If they work solder the wires down and put shrink wrap over the solder, if not go back and check all the connections.

15)Put a tiny oring on each of the eyes and test them again. If everything still works then epoxy/jbweld them into the hole, making sure not to get any ON the face of the eyes, and also making sure they do not protrude into the breech. If it doesn't work take the orings off and try orthodonture rubber bands. Orings/rubberbands are not neccesary, just a precaution to make SURE the eyes do not protrude into breech.

16)Re-essemble your marker, putting the switch inside the tray.

17)Go play paintball hopefully chop-free

Note: This WILL void your warrenty. Icd paintball is not responsible for any damages that might happen while attempting this mod.

I agree with Ninja on this one, installing PDS is not an easy process. In my opinion it is worth sending it in and having it professionally done. Sending it to Vapor is still cheaper than back to ICD themselves, who charge $165.
