i'm saying 500. sure, composite is a great material for sports things such as hockey sticks and tennis racquets but when i comes to guns, it's not considered high end in my opinion. This is great guys, this means that paintball guns are getting better for less cashola.

i just got off the phone with DYE and they told me that it is supposed to be a very limited gun and will be more than the DM5. They didn't have any other information for me other than it is fast as **** and lite. i assume that it will be around 1700

The only thing that makes me believe that it will cost 1700 is what can be seen on the body, as well as what Dye plans in a business sense.
If they priced this at $500, no one will ever buy another Proto or DM5. As seen in the pic this gun has an on/off knob and a clamping feedneck which the Proto doesn't. If Dye prices this marker lower than the Proto is already, then it will devastate sales of the Proto and DM5/4 alike. Why would anyone go out and pay 2 to 3 times as much for a Proto/Dm5. Why would somebody go and spend an extra $400 on a marker that has less features than this one (Proto)It doesn't make good business sense. I expect this will probaby be a limited run cream of crop Dye Matrix. I may be wrong, but it really wouldnt be smart of Dye to shoot themselves in the foot like that. This strategy worked for Smart Parts because they were having their own problems selling nerves/shockers/impulses etc. They used the Ion to boost sales. I think they sold 2000 the first day and are still massively backordered. Dye can barely fill their DM5/Proto orders as is, so introducing this marker at the $500 price range seems unlikely.

Here is a cleaned up pic:
I checked the dyematrix forums and MATRIX says that more info and pricing will be released soon, and not to trust whats been said, all speculation. ![]()
