This is directly from Kerry Johnson over at pbxbattlezone, PBX is producing the mq-valve for autocockers and with these little wonders I would keep an eye out for cockers making a huge comeback on the tournament scene.

MQ-VALVE:

What is the mQ-Valve?

The mQ-valve is a patent pending valve technology developed by PBX Ballistix Lab. It is essentially a large solenoid valve designed to operate at high pressure and flow. It is controlled by an electronic grip frame such as the PBX frame. Its design allows the electronic frame to precisely control the burst of air applied to the ball.

What does the mQ-Valve fit in?

Currently, the only mQ-valve available is for the autococker. However, we have applied the technology to an open bolt marker similar to a mag. We have also used it to run a hammer with a standard valve in a stacked tube configuration.

What good does it do?

By replacing your standard valve, hammer, and cocking rod with the mQ-Valve, you greatly reduce reciprocating mass in an autococker. Less reciprocating mass allows you to fire faster with less recoil. The mQ-valve removes any mechanical interface in the hammer system that is prone to wear. It also allows for easy tuning of the amount of air supplied to the ball.

How does it work? / Can I see a picture of it?

That information will be released once the valve hits the market.

How hard is it to install?

Installation is very easy. You need to remove your old hammer assembly and use a valve tool to remove your valve. Simply drop in the mQ-Valve and tighten it down with the IVG while keeping the wires from pinching in the slot in the body.

Can I put it in my E1/E2/Race?
Yes. Simply remove your sear tripper solenoid parts and plug the mQ-valve in its place.
IF YOU HAVE A RACE, MAKE SURE YOU TELL US!!!
The race and eblade have different connectors that are NOT interchangable.

How do you set velocity?

Velocity is adjusted by your valve dwell (SON in eblade) and input pressure. The operating pressure will be around 250-300psi.

How much does it cost?

$119.00

Can I put it in my pre-[insert date here] cocker?

The valve requires a threaded IVG to clamp in place. If you don't have one, the current valve will not fit.

Can I put it in a Merlin?

Not at this time. We may do a run of valves that fit at some point.

How do I preorder one?

Email or PM Mel, Mike, or me (Kerry) with your name, address, and a way to contact you. We do not require a deposit for preorders. PBX Forums

***** - For Karnivor owners, the mq-valve will be compatible with your marker. The valve does require some specific parts that should be released soon after the intial release of the valve.

PBX AUTOCOCKER:

Along with the release of this valve PBX is planning on releasing their PBX autococker complete with the valve installed and their very own frame:

What’s the PBX Cocker?

The PBX Cocker is a WGP Autococker body modified to take a shuttle block and fitted with a PBX frame and mQ-Valve. It is capable of over 33 BPS (not CPS).

What is the shuttle block and what’s it good for?

The shuttle block replaces the back block or half block in a cocker. It’s a light weight delrin block threaded on to a high strength aluminum pump arm riding in a slot under the bolt. The advantage of the system is low reciprocating mass (around 25g not including the ram shaft) which means faster shooting and less recoil.

What is the PBX frame?

The current PBX frame has three buttons and a 4 character LED display similar to an E1. It offers better battery life over the E1 and simplified menu structure. It also takes timmy triggers, a favorite among players for shooting fast. The PBX frame supports both reflective and break beam eyes.

What kind of eyes will the PBX cocker come with?

The PBX cocker will come with break beam eyes. A reflective eye compatible with the Eclipse hole pattern is available for the PBX frame upgrade kit.

What parts are used on the PBX cocker?

As of now, they come with a Palmer micro rock, CP inline reg, and Powerlyte Scepter barrel.

What versions are available?

Currently the only version available is the full bodied version. In the future we will have the Supermini, which is a mini block with the back cut off flush with the back of the frame, and the Omnivore, which has a reverse 15 degree ASA.

How much does it cost?

The PBX cocker has a MSRP of $1399.00.
The frame kit which includes PBX frame and mQ-Valve is $499.

What colors do you have?

Initial batch will be Black, Blue, and Pewter.
Some fades might be available but they have not been determined yet.
Possibly black to red and black to blue.

At the moment the mq-valve is not for sale, as PBX is working with its lawyers to ensure no patents are infringed upon and to work out other small legal details.

However, I can assure you that once the valve and the cocker are released, watch out, cause its gonna be a whole new game.

The valve isnt for sale yet (see red text above) but you can check out PBX Battlezone and the pbx forums on that site for more information about the product.

Once all the legal garbage is sorted through PBX will fill preorders and begin to produce and ship valves.
