One of the main problems with using CO2 in an autococker is the liquid CO2 getting into the marker, which will ruin the internals (same goes for any marker). Most problems arise when the liquid either freezes in the 3-way or in the hoses. CO2 also wears a bit faster because of this on the orings, freezing them sometimes as well. When using CO2 on a cocker it is strongly recommended that an anti-siphon tank be used, as this helps keep any liquid from getting into the gun.
HPA or nitrogen is strongly suggested because when compressed it still stays in the gas form, where as the CO2 does not, eliminating any possibility of liquid entering the marker. Dont get me wrong CO2 can be used on a cocker, but if you dont take the proper precautionary steps like using the correct anti-siphon tank, it will damage the marker. When I first got my old cocker used CO2 on it, and it was fine.

please use N2 in all semi high end-high end guns AT LEAST. I'd even reccomend it for spyders. If you are willing to spend that much $ on a gun, get a good tank. It really is worth it.....especially on cockers with the front end(3way ram, lpr, hoses, etc) there to screw up. Not good...

And Yes, your gun may be working okay now, but in the long run there is a good chance of having problems.
