Back by popular demand is the Eblade settings guide. Hopefully this guide help you find the perfect settings for your marker, and I encourage everyone to post theirs up and let us know how they worked out for you.

This is a theory intensive thread and if you are looking for quick eblade settings I suggest scrolling through if that is all you seek. I am including a lot of methods in which to lower your eblade settings to their bare minimum, and I know unfortunately it requires A LOT of writing.

****** Before we go any further, I would highly recommend first adjusting your TT filters and TPUL and TREL settings. Believe it or not they will have a drastic effect and should be your first alteration even before setting anything else. On my E2 I have both a TPUL and a TREL of 1ms.

Also remember that CDEL, COFF, and CONN are used to calculate the cycle time, so I have included as an attachment below an excel file that will automatically give you the theoretical BPS when you put in these respective numbers, the components that affect BPS are highlighted yellow in the file. You need excel in order to use this spreadsheet.

(right click and save as)
EXCEL SPREADSHEET: EBLADE calculator

**** Also note that all of these are theoretical because they require the anti chop eye to be turned off in order to take effect. The eye automatically overrides any CONN time, essentially making the eye more of a timing sensor then a true eye, allowing the marker to cycle as quickly as possible. Because of this I recommend a setting of factory fast with lowered TPUL and TREL settings.

Here are the factory settings and their respective theoretical BPS:

Factory Settings

Fast

Son- 004
CDEL- 003
Con- 065
Cto- 255
Coff- 028

10.42 BPS

Medium

Son- 005
CDEL- 006
Con- 075
Cto- 255
Coff- 033

8.77 BPS

Slow

Son- 006
CDEL- 009
Con - 085
CTO- 255
Coff- 038

7.58 BPS

Max ROF is 1000/Cycle Time

Remember that the Cycle Time is equal to CDEL + CON + COFF

This next set is from Tanner over at Planeteclipse (original post PBN), these are his personal settings:

Son- 003
Cdel- 003
Con-33
Coff- 19

17.24 BPS

*** And I am assuming he has his filters and TPUL and TREL relatively low (~2ms)

This has a pretty conservative Con time. With a Halo B youcould possibly get lower the Con Time of 20, but problems could arise when you get low on paint.

FOr the hell of it I made some settings up for people.

Son- 003
Cdel - 003
Conn - 030
Coff - 019

ROF- 18.18 BPS

If u drop the Conn time to 15 You could hit 25 BPS and if u drop it to 20 you would get 22.22 BPS. And a Conn of 25 will give u an even 20 BPS. Of course those are all w/ the settings above!

**** An important note concerning the CONN time is that it is going to be affected by the reciprocating mass of your marker, which of course will vary person to person. In other words, the lighter the bolt and back block, the faster your marker can recock and the lower you can make the setting. The COFF time will also be affected slightly but not like the CONN.

Son- 004
Cdel- 009
Con-39
Coff- 19

For a ROF of 14.9 BPS

Con- 43
Son- 03
Cdel- 04
Coff- 21

ROF of 14.7 BPS

Son-4
Cdel-3
Con-18
Cto-255
Coff-15
Bald-1
Empd-2
Tpul-4
Trel-4

Son-2
Cdel-6
Con-65
Cto-255
Coff-18
Bald-1
Empd-2
Tpul-20
Trel-12

Lowering Son time:

It is possible to drop your Son setting to 3 or 2. Even though the Son setting will not have an effect on your rate of fire, it will be easier on the sear mechanism and will help in increasing battery life. First you will have to remove your sear lug and polish it, and you will also need light main springs to get it down to 2 or 3.

A lighter main spring will let u decrease your LPR (possibly down to pinching). You'll also want to have a lighter valve spring combo as well if u do that. It's all gonna depend on your valve.

Lowering COFF time: (direct for Tanner)

To set the COFF time to the bare minimum you have to find out how long it takes for your particular ram to open/close your particular bolt...this will be differant for every marker, so we borrow a process from the Race guys and modify it a little! You really need to find the time it takes to open your bolt...

BOLT OPEN TIME

First set your LP reg to the cocking pressure you feel comfortable with, turn off the eye, then start by lowering your CON time a little at a time till it will no longer catch the sear, raise and lower the setting 1 or 2 ms to find the exact point where it will and will not catch, now raise 2ms from this setting and that is your Bolt Open Time.

LOAD TIME
Now drop one ball into the feed tube and shoot it raising the CON setting as you go until it will feed the ball, adjust up and down till you pinpoint the setting and then add 1-2ms for consistancy, this is your initial CON time...

If you are interested in the actual Load Time, just subtract the Bolt Open Time from the total CON figure.

Note...you will now have to adjust the CON setting to reflect the loader you are using, force feed loaders may feed just a little quicker than this number and agitating loaders will need a bigger number. If you are using the eye, it makes sense to inflate the CON setting a bit since the eye will control this setting in normal operation.

COFF TIME
Now by theory you should be able to set your COFF time at a couple MS shorter than your bolt open time since the ram doesn't have to overcome the main spring tension. So as an example...if you come up with a bolt open time of 22 ms you could set your COFF time to 20 ms...this should be your minimum COFF setting!

Side Note...the time it takes to open and close the bolt can be dramatically affected by the cocking pressure you run into the ram, personally, my fastest bolt open time is 15 ms on my '03 running a stock bolt, backblock, and pump arm with a Palmers Quikram and Micro Rock, but I have to run a cocking pressure that is a bit high for my liking so I turn it down a bit for much smoother operation and get a more conservative 20 ms bolt open time and 19 ms COFF time. A lightened bolt, backblock, pumparm combo will also lower this timing.
Remember...don't over pressure the cocking soleniod!!!!!

Son = 003
Cdel = 004
Con = 025
Coff = 025

ROF = 18.5 bps

SON: 2
CDEL: 5
CON: 31
COFF: 29

ROF: 15.39 BPS

SON : 004
CDEL: 004
CON : 045
CTO: 035
COFF: 025

ROF: 13.5bps

Quick run through of what different setting affect: (Tanner)

*The SON setting effects only dependability and battery life, it has no effect on ROF, but you can lower it if you seek to extend battery life, but only if the seer continues to drop the lug consistantly.
*CDEL timing is probably Ok right where it is unless you get blowback, you want the lowest figure here without blowback, unless you want "suction timing" which is a differant conversation!
*CON setting, this is the bolt opening time and loading time combined, let this one alone, the eye overrides it anyway and this is a "safe" setting in case of eye failure!
*CTO, this is the time the eye holds the cycle if a ball is NOT present in the breach, again leave this alone, it is controled by the eye and doesn't effect ROF, unless you have a misfeed, and that's when you want the extra time anyway!
*COFF, this is a setting you can play with a little depending on just how fast your Ram is and how much cocking pressure you run. The faster the ram and the more pressure, (to 90 PSI in my opinion), the faster the bolt is going to close, so you can lower this setting accordingly! It is widely held that you can lower this setting until you start seeing velocity drop offs while shooting fast strings! When you start to see you balls falling short in a fast string you have gone a bit too far and need to bump it up a little!

SON - 003
CDEL- 002
CON - 030
CTO - 255
COFF - 024

TPUL - 001
TREL - 002

SON - 002
CDEL- 003
CON - 030
COFF - 023

TPUL - 001
TREL - 003

Max ROF = 17.85 BPS

I think thats good for the first post.

******IMPORTANT - Like I said at the beginning all of these settings mean nothing unless you test them with your marker setup and make sure they work for you. Everyone's marker is different and this requires experimentation.

Most important of all is to realize that the most important settings concerning rate of fire all depend on your cocking mass. The heavier your block and bolt and the slower the ram, the lower the possible ROF will be, and this is why I encourage everyone to test these settings with their individual setup.

Ok so lets see some of yours and let us know if any of these ones above worked out.

yeah it really depends on your individual set up. i suggest just airing it up an opening the grips an lowering the con and coff till it wont shoot then raise it tilll it will shoot reliably. you can also laower c delay some

heres how you set it up to reach its max for ur individual setup

SON – Step 1: c*ck the gun and shoot to see if the sear releases. Do this 10 times
Step 2: If sear releases all 10 times, then lower son by 1, and repeat step 1.
Step 3: Keep repeating step 2 until sear doesn’t release all 10 times, and up the son by 1. This is you minimal son time

CDEL – Step 1: Start with the setting at 3.
Step 2: Put plastic bag over the feedneck, leave some slack.
Step 3: Shoot the gun, and check to see if it is sucking the plastic down, or blowing it up.
Step 4: If it is sucking up, leave the setting alone. But if it is blowing, keep raising the setting 1 at a time, and repeat steps 2-3 until you get suction.

CON – Step 1: Put a ball in the feedneck
Step 2: Have setting at 40
Step 3: If ball drops then lower settings by 2, and keep lowering until the ball doesn’t drop in. Then at this setting, raise it by 2.
Step 4: if ball doesn’t drop in, keep raising the setting by 2 until the ball does drop in.
Step 5: test settings 10 times, if ball doesn’t drop in all 10 times, raise the setting by 1.

CTO – I would just leave this alone.

COFF – we will be looking at con while adjusting coff
Step 1: leave coff at 30 for now
Step 2: turn out ivg, until it is flush with the body.
Step 3: put con setting at 25
Step 4: shoot marker
Step 5: if the gun cocks, test it 10 times to see if it cocks all 10 times
Step 6: if it did c*ck all 10 times, then lower con setting by 2 and repeat step 5 until the gun doesn’t c*ck all 10 times, and then raise con setting by 2. This con setting will be your coff setting. Put back your con settings to what you had it before
Step 7: if your gun didn’t c*ck all 10 times, then raise it by 2, and repeat step 5 until the gun cocks all 10 times. This will be your coff setting, and put back your con settings to what you had it before
