Okay, i bought this 200$ tennis racquet from a local shop. It was a Wilson Ncode N5, a pretty high level racquet. Well about a month 1/2 ago, i broke it on a ground stroke near the ground(it basically hit the ground wrong and broke on the side of the racquet).
Anyways, so i'm like No big deal, it has a one year warrenty. I've only had it for about 3 months, and I play twice a week...about average. Well, for Wilson's warrenty, you take it to the dealer and they send it to Wilson to be replaced. This is usually a one-two week turn around. So I'm beginning to get worried after a month 1/2 of waiting so I call up Wilson today.
They said i should call up the shop and see what's up, so I do. Apparently they got it in yesterday and forgot to call me. So I'm feeling really relieved at this point and i'm happy that I can go get my racquet back.
BUT then he said wilson didn't replace it and there was a small letter with it. It said that there was too much wear on the racquet...TOO MUCH WEAR??!!, I babied that thing, and there was hardly a scratch on it aside from the break. and normar paint chipping on the top of the racquet where it often contacts the ground. Nothing that would cause a break.
So at this point I'm pissed off to the max and I'm not sure what to do. The store can't do anything obviously and i had a conversation with some Rep at Wilson and he basically told me i could send it to him for a second opinion...
Any ideas?
