I'm just curious what people think of the 2K5 intimidator. It appears to have the same millink as the 2K2, but is upgraded to be like the Alias. If I'm correct most timmy's are the same at the base, just different milling and boards. I personally think no matter what gun you buy wether it's the latest/greatest or something made a few years past, you can find ways to make most of them fast. And it's pointless to keep making guns faster due to the 15 BPS rule.

You are pretty much right on ax. The 2k5 borrows the popular 2k2 milling but uses the new style 2005 frame and board as well as a few other parts.
At their core the intimidators all operate the same way. The only exception now is the new 06 line which are slightly different. Interesting point with the 15bps rule, but remember not all fields/tournies use that rule. Although the constant pursuit of eeking out another ball per second is getting out of control. No one can really run through a 15+ stream anyway.

Yeahm but the old ones can now be upgraded to shoot just as fast. The only reason people continue to think the latest and greatest is just that is partly because the pros use it and mainly because the companies are good at marketing. I'll admit the newer guns will have certain features over the previous ones, but I still feel the previous guns are just as much worth it to own and use.

The 2K5 timmy looked nice because it's identical to the alias, except for the milling and the LCD screen. But anyway it's also a few bucks cheaper. I still see people play with the old 2K2 timmys, and all you have to replace is a few parts and the board to get the performance.
