Since there are always those chopping problems with every gun I decided to make an FAQ about chopping. Please Sticky!
1.) Is it the paint? Make sure you are using farily decent and new paint. Not some melted paint that has sat in your closet. 2.) Settings for the Frenzy These are Oakland Assasins settings so set these on your frenzies Dwell: 8.0 Eyes: Force or Delay BIP: 5.5ms Bolt: 15ms Deb: 2.0 Mbounce:03 3.) Get an Adjustable Ram Cap!!! The ram cap is a must for all Timmys. The cap is basically a ram stop. You can adjust ram travel and at the same time the bolt position in the breach. If you have your bolt too far back the balls fall into the breach and roll back out of view of the eyes. The next ball in line shifts forward a bit and comes partially into the breach and get's chopped. So what you end up with an offset ball stack in the feed tube ( o0o0o0o ). Adjusting the bolt allows you to stop the ball where you want it. Basically you force the ball to stack upright coming into the breach. ( ooooo ) If the balls are upright they can't chop. The stock caps are fine. The problem is the ram bumper. As they wear and get soft the ram travels further and further back as the bumper breaks down. The Adjustable cap allows you to correct that. So now you know what it is and what it does. So...how do you set it up? Well glad you asked. Take your hopper off and gas up your Timmy. Tilt it upward in about a 45* angle (barrel upward) and look down the feed tube. Adjust your ram cap until you just barely see the first oring of your bolt. Fire a few shots. (no paint) now look to see where the bolt settled. It should be in the same place it was. Now degas your marker and grab a couple paintballs and drop them, one at a time, and make sure they can get into the breach with no issues. If you have a lot of room move the forward more. Once you've found that sweet spot back the cap off 1/4 turn. This will make room for the occasional odd shaped ball and it won't effect the normal balls at all. You're set. Now before you play, double check to make sure the paint you'll be using that day will still fit. Different paint, different sizes. Adjust accordingly. After doing this a few times this will take you about a minute to do. 4.) Is my pressure too high? Another reason that your Inkillidator may be chopping is the output pressure is too high and its just turning your paint into soup. Try to run it at 50 minimum or a 75 maximum. I run a Hybrid Volumizer and a CP Reg so I can get my pressure pretty low and consistent. Always make sure you run your eyes on Forced or Delayed!!!!! My Alias Intimidator does not chop a single ball anymore. If you still chop and have some money to spend. Buy the following upgrades Cp Reg Hybrid Volumizer Critical Trigger Hybrid/Cp Ram cap and make sure your Ram cap is adjusted right and make sure your pressures are correct along with your settings and you should not chop a single ball!!!!! |

And also if its cold out make sure to use the largest bore size that you have because paint expands when it is cold and that makes soup.
