Its three battery harnesses that are run in parallel. When run in parallel (think physics) two 9 volts (total 18V right) equals 9v. The idea is it pulls power from both simultaneously so the batteries dont die as quick.

I have tried them out, not really worth it IMO unless you plan on using rechargable 9Vs. They do tend to drain quick anyway and then your loader is sluggish.

Very easy to make like Ninja said. You can get packs of harnesses for 50 cents to a dollar. All you need is a soldering iron and the solder (rosin core). You can get shrink wrap tubing for an extra secure hold at the joints but I just wrap liberally with electrical tape.
