This gun also uses the new Angel threading and the "breakaway" grip frame.
There are rumors that WDP will possibly release a retrofit kit that will allow the new frame to be placed on older G7s, though no specific date has yet been set.

Big debate is on the new barrel threading. Even though it resembles autococker threads, they are in fact different and WDP has announced that these will be the standard threading on all future markers. Reportedly WDP contemplated cocker threading but it wouldnt have allowed for the cut away they acheived at the front of the markers.
