Composites International, Inc. (GCI), Ontario, Ca. It is believed that some of these cylinders were not wrapped with a sufficient number of carbon fiber layers to insure their structural integrity. The DOT went on to say that Cylinders with the DOT – E 12695 markings should not be used and are considered unsafe resulting in possible extensive property damage, serious injury, or death could result from the rupture of a cylinder. It is quite possible some of these cylinders are being used by paintball players.
The NPPL will not allow Cylinders with the DOT Exemption DOT – E 12695 to be filled or used at NPPL events effective immediately in San Diego. If you have one of these cylinders please empty contents and do not refill. For a full report go to
